(GREENSBORO, NC) - It was an uh-oh in Greensboro as the Legends fell 13-2. Greensboro jumped ahead by four runs in the first, adding five more in the fifth as they ran away with a big early advantage Thursday night. The Legends are now 1-11 in 2008 against the Grasshoppers, riding a three-game losing streak as the team closes out the 2008 season.

Third baseman Matt Dominguez launched two homeruns, including his spot in the middle of a back-to-back-to-back home run combo in the second inning. Several others in the Grasshopper lineup boosted their batting average as Greensboro finished with six players with multiple hits.

Starter Luis Pardo (1-9) lasted all of one inning leaving the game after two straight walks and a single to start the second. Pardo finished with five hits and six earned runs including a three run homer in the first frame. Carlos Ladeuth didn't fare much better as he came in for relief and gave up three straight homeruns followed by a double in the second inning.

Catcher Julian Henson had a helping hand in both of the Legends' runs Thursday with his two RBI single in the second inning. Lexington converted only two of its eight hits into scores, with nine runners stranded on the bases.

Be sure to catch the second game in the season's last series from the NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
