
Legends Get Spooky with Second Home Stand of the Year

WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK (Lexington, KY) - The Lexington Legends are back at Whitaker Bank Ballpark for a four-game series facing the Hagerstown Suns, beginning Thursday, April 19 at 7:05 p.m. With the weather warming up, fans can head to the Stache Shop to receive 20% off Legends winter gear. The Legends will have a variety of promotions during the series including Bark in the Park and Halfway to Halloween.
"In our second homestand of the season, we are excited to have nights like Bark in the Park and Thirsty Thursday," said Legends President/CEO Andy Shea. "With Saturday, April 21 marking the halfway point to Halloween, our staff will be dressed up in costume, and we encourage fans to do the same!"
Thursday, April 19 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Hagerstown: It is another Thirsty Thursday presented by Kentucky Ale and Pepsi, allowing fans to enjoy $1 12 oz. beers and $3 16 oz. beers at the Bullpen Patio, First Base Pavilion Tent, and the Handlebar in the first base concourse. It will also be the second Bark in the Park of the season. $1 Pepsi products will be available in the 1st base and 3rd base concession stands. Dog owners can bring their K9 to the ballpark for a $2 dog entry fee to be donated to the Scott County Humane Society
Friday, April 20 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Hagerstown: Any student that participated in the Legends' Hit the Books Reading Program can redeem their bookmark for two free box seats at the Whitaker Bank Ballpark Box Office. The Legends will be holding auditions for Friday Night Live, beginning Friday April 20 at 4:30 p.m. In order to audition, you must fill out a form. Friday Night Live will occur every Friday home game, featuring local songwriters and performers. The live music will begin when gates open, allowing fans to listen to the performers before the game starts creating an energetic atmosphere near the 1st base pavilion.
Saturday, April 21 at 6:35 p.m. vs. Hagerstown: The Legends only will half scare you, leaving the full terror for the real Halloween in October as we celebrate Halfway to Halloween. Fans are encouraged to dress up in their best costume to enter the costume contest to compete for Legends prizes. The second day of auditions for Friday Night Live will be held at 4 p.m. in front of the Kentucky Ale Taproom at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Fans must fill out a form in order to receive a time slot for auditions.
Sunday, April 22 at 2:05 p.m. vs. Hagerstown: Every Sunday, children 12 and under will get in for FREE thanks to JIF! The gates will also open 30-minutes early (12:30 p.m.) for Playtime on the Outfield. Kids and their families can play a game of catch on the same field as the professional ball players. After the final out, kids will be welcomed on the field to run the bases.
