Legends defeat Olympians
January 17, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Southern California Legends News Release
Azusa, CA. In the second meeting between two of the west coast's better ABA teams, the SoCal Legends defeated the Aoshen Olympians by 31 points with a convincing 116-85 victory. "Aoshen is a good team and they pass the ball well, and in the first half we had a close game," said owner/coach Gary Grant, "but we were able to pull away in the third quarter - and once we got started, we were virtually unstoppable."
The Legends had five players in double figures with Jerry Dupree with 22 and 6 rebounds; Kenny Brunner with 19 and 7 assists, Jimmy Miggins 17, Keith Closs 18 and 8 rebounds and Marcus Williams with 11. We are now 15-2 and are prepared to play the Bellevue Blackhawks on Wednesday the 18th. For more information, visit www.legendsbasketball.com or www.abalive.com.
