
Legends come back to beat Power

Charleston, WV -The Lexington Legends scored the first three runs and final two of Saturday night's game against the West Virginia Power at Appalachian Power Park and defeated the Power by the final score of 5-4.
Mitch Einertson smacked a three run homer in the top of the first inning to put the Legends on top. West Virginia scored the next four runs of the game. In the bottom of the first Ned Yost knocked in Darren Ford on a Sacrifice Fly. In the second inning Kenny Holmberg drove in Nestor Corredor on his first of three singles. In the fifth inning Lorenzo Cain and Angel Salome hit back to back Sacrifice Fly balls to knock in Kenny Holmberg and Darren Ford, providing the Power with their only lead of the game. The 4-3 lead held until Ryan Reed ripped what proved to be the game winning two run double in the seventh inning to score Koby Clemens and Pedro Espinoza.
Chris Blazek (2-1) earned the victory, German Melendez (7) earned the save and Rafael Lluberes (4-5) obtained the loss. The Power are 48-43 overall and 9-13 in the second half after the loss while the Legends improved to 54-38 overall and 10-13 in the second half after the win.
The Power will continue the four game series against the Lexington Legends at Appalachian Power Park on Sunday evening. Left hander Brian Bogusevic (0-2, 7.48) will make the start for Lexington and the Power will counter with right hander Will Inman (4-1, 1.24). The first pitch is scheduled for 5:05 PM.
