
Legends Begin Five-Game Homestand Friday

The Lexington Legends will open a five-game homestand Friday, June 29 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The homestand will include NASCAR Night, Breast Cancer Awareness Night, two Ford fireworks shows, money-saving promotions and more as the Legends take on the Asheville Tourists, an affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
"We've packed a lot into this five-game homestand, including our holiday fireworks show Tuesday night," said Legends General Manager Seth Poteat. "NASCAR Night will be a real highlight with the big race coming up this weekend at Kentucky Speedway, and the pink jersey auction for Breast Cancer Awareness Night is always a lot of fun for a great cause."

Friday, June 29: Legends vs. Asheville, 7:05 p.m. Friday is NASCAR Night, and the Legends will give away a tailgate package that includes two tickets to the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis Sunday, July 29, two lawn chairs and a grill. Fans will also have an opportunity to win two tickets to the Quaker State 400 at the Kentucky Speedway Saturday, June 30. The Great Clips car will be on display at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, and fans are invited to take photos. Those who wear NASCAR gear to the Legends game Friday can receive a $2 discount on Legends' box seat tickets at the group sales will call table.
Saturday, June 30: Legends vs. Asheville, 7:05 p.m. Saturday is Breast Cancer Awareness Night, presented by Sleep Outfitters. The Legends will wear pink jerseys that will be sold through a silent auction. A Ford fireworks show will follow the game.
Sunday, July 1: Legends vs. Asheville, 1:35 p.m. Every Sunday home game is a JIF Kids Club Sunday. Kids Club members receive special benefits such as t-shirts, discounts at the Legends Clubhouse store and many more. (More information is available at lexingtonlegends.com.) Everyone age 12 or under may run the bases after the game.
Monday, July 2: Legends vs. Asheville, 7:05 p.m. At every Monday night home game, kids eat free, presented by Members Heritage Federal Credit Union. Each child age 12 or under will receive a voucher good for a healthy "Better Bites" combo.
Tuesday, July 3: Legends vs. Asheville, 7:05 p.m. The holiday Ford fireworks show will follow the game Tuesday night. Tuesday is also 35-cent hot dog night. The price is in recognition of the Ford F-150 being the number one selling vehicle for 35 consecutive years.
