
Jimenez Hammers Home a Suns Sweep of Delmarva

Salisbury, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (48-29) completed a four game sweep of the Delmarva Shorebirds (28-48) with a 5-4 victory at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, MD on Thursday night.
Suns' second baseman Hendry Jimenez crushed his second homerun of the season, a game winning two-run shot in the sixth, to cap a three run rally. Caleb Ramsey enjoyed his second three-hit game of the series and added an RBI.
Suns starting pitcher Bobby Hansen, Jr. (2-0) earned the win by pitching 5.1 innings, giving up four runs on six hits. Christian Meza delivered 2.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen to set up Aaron Barrett for his 11th save of the season.
Shorebirds starter Eduardo Rodriguez (2-4) allowing five runs on seven hits, one walk and three strike outs. Second baseman Sammie Starr went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Delmarva.
The Suns will now travel to Lakewood and begin a five game series with the BlueClaws (Phillies) on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. RHP Alex Meyer (6-3, 3.51) will make the start for Hagerstown against Lakewood's LHP Ethan Stewart (4-6, 3.46).
