Lee Named ECHL Goaltender of the Week Again

Gladiators goaltender Mike Lee has been named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of November 5th through November 11th. It is the second time this season the netminder has won the award.

Lee posted three wins in the week to help the Gladiators extend their winning streak to eight games and remain in first in the ECHL's South Division and first overall in the league.

The Roseau, Minnesota native posted 26 saves in a 2-1 overtime win over Orlando on Wednesday. He followed that up with a 33 save performance in a 4-3 win over the Solar Bears on Thursday and he closed out the week on Sunday with a 31 save outing in a 2-1 win over Orlando.

Lee currently leads all ECHL netminders in Goals Against Average with a 1.82, in save percentage with a .932, and has earned a league best eight wins.

The rookie out of St. Cloud State was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft with the 91st overall pick.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
