
Defenseman Dan Ringwald Loaned to Thunder

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, announced today that the team has been loaned defenseman Dan Ringwald from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
Oklahoma City is the affiliate of the Thunder and Edmonton Oilers.
Ringwald, 26, has appeared in 73 career games with the Thunder and collected 31 points. He returns for his third season in a Thunder uniform and is scheduled to make his ECHL season debut tomorrow at 6:10 p.m. (1280 KWSX/StocktonThunder.com) against the Idaho Steelheads at Century Link Arena.
The 6-foot-1 and 185 pound defenseman has skated in six games with the Barons this season and additionally scored seven points in 37 career AHL games.
Ringwald began last season in Stockton and notched eight points in 12 games with the Thunder. After earning a call up to Oklahoma City, he skated in 14 Calder Cup Playoff games with the Barons and posted four assists along with a +2 rating.
Ringwald signed a one-way AHL contract with Oklahoma City on July 18, 2012.
A two time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," the Thunder led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew over 200,000 fans for the seventh consecutive season in 2011-12.
