Gwinnett's Lee Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Mike Lee of the Gwinnett Gladiators is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 5-11. It is the second time in the last three weeks that Lee has captured the weekly honor.

The 22-year-old went 3-0-0 with a 1.65 goals-against average and a save percentage of .947 in three appearances against Orlando last week as the Gladiators extended their winning streak to eight games.

Lee made 26 saves in a 2-1 overtime win on Wednesday, stopped 33 of 36 shots in a 4-3 victory against the Solar Bears on Thursday and ended the week with 31 saves in a 2-1 victory on Sunday.

A native of Roseu, Minn., Lee has won five consecutive five appearances, and leads the ECHL with eight wins, a 1.82 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage. He is second with 661 minutes played and is third with 276 saves.

Selected in the third round (91st overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Lee spent the previous three seasons at St. Cloud State, posting an overall record of 32-29-9 with four shutouts, a 2.65 goals-against average and a save percentage of .917.

Lee was part of the United States gold-medal squad at the 2010 World Junior Championships, where he saw action in five games, posting a goals-against average of 2.50 and a .908 save percentage.

Runners Up: Mark Guggenberger, Alaska (3-0-0, 1.67 GAA, .944 save pct.) and Philipp Grubauer, Reading (3-0-0, 2.24 GAA, .906 save pct.).
