Late Gnats Runs Blow out BlueClaws, 10-2

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - In what was a two-run ballgame entering the 8th inning, Savannah opened it up for a 10-2 win Tuesday afternoon against the BlueClaws.

Lakewood took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning on a Chris Duffy RBI double. The double was Duffy's 12th hit of the four-game series and his 13th RBI of the series as well. The Sand Gnats would hit back-to-back homers in the 3rd inning to take a 2-1 lead and the BlueClaws would never get the lead back the rest of the game.

Hoby Milner picked up his second loss of the season with four runs in 4.2 innings. He is now 1-2 on the season.

The BlueClaws will have Wednesday off before hitting the road for an eight-game road trip in Hickory, N.C. and Hagerstown, Mary. The BlueClaws will face Hickory Thursday in the first of four games against the Crawdads with Colin Kleven (4-6, 4.53) battling Hickory's lefty Kevin Matthews (1-2, 5.57).
