The Somerset Patriots were defeated by the Reading Fightin' Phils on Saturday night by a score of 8-7 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Both losses in this week's series for Somerset have been by one run. The loss clinched a season-series loss for the Patriots to the Fightin' Phils, dropping to 7-10 vs. Reading with one game left to be played between the teams.

RHP Matt Sauer (3.0 IP, 5 R, 4 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 6 K, HR) started the game and did not factor into a decision.

RF Elijah Dunham (1-for-4, RBI, R, HR, K) opened up the scoring with a leadoff home run in the second inning.

Dunham's eighth homer of the season for Somerset (14th total) came as the first in a set of back-to-back home runs with Josh Breaux. It's the fourth time this season that Dunham has been a part of back-to-back homers for the Patriots.

DH Josh Breaux (1-for-3, RBI, 2 R, HR, BB, K) hit his seventh Somerset home run of the season (eighth total) in the second inning, going back-to-back with Dunham.

The home run extended Breaux's team-best active and season-best individual hit streak to 10 straight games in which he is 13-for-38 (.342 AVG) with 8 RBI, 9 R, 5 HR, 2 2B and 3 BB.

LF Aaron Palensky (2-for-4, 4 RBI, 2 R, HR, 3B, K) set a Double-A career-high 4 RBIs with 7 TB in the game.

The performance marked the second time this season and in his career that Palensky tripled and homered in the same game (April 12 vs. Aberdeen in High-A).

C Ben Rice (1-for-4) extended his active hit streak to nine straight games in which he is 15-for-39 with 11 RBI, 9 R, 4 HR, 4 2B and 3 BB.
