
Las Vegas Welcomes Back Chris Neiszner, Adds Forward Jordan Hack

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team has agreed to terms with forwards Chris Neiszner and Jordan Hack.
"Chris Neiszner is a guy that I am counting on to set an example for our stable of young players we will have here this season," said General Manager and Head Coach Glen Gulutzan. "He is a great young leader and his hard work will help set the tone for the rest of the team. We are very excited to bring him back. Jordan Hack is a young forward out of college that is looking to make his mark as a professional."
Neiszner returns to Las Vegas where he played the bulk of his first two professional seasons from 2005 to 2007. The fourth-year pro spent last season in France with Morzine-Avoriaz, scoring 11 goals and adding 12 assists for 23 points in 26 games played. The Craik, SK native played in 109 games from 2005-07 in Las Vegas, tallying 27 goals and dishing out 32 assists for 59 points. On April 4, 2006, Neiszner set a Las Vegas record (fastest two goals by a single player) by scoring two goals in ten seconds at Phoenix. In 2006, Neiszner was second on the team in scoring with 11 points in 13 Kelly Cup Playoff games. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound forward also played parts of the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons with the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the American Hockey League. In 16 games with the Knights over two seasons, Neiszner scored three goals and added three assists for six points.
Prior to tuning pro, Neiszner played four seasons with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League. In 286 games with the Rebels, Neiszner tallied 49 goals and 52 assists for 101 points in 286 games. Neiszner captained the team in 2004-05.
Jordan Hack turns pro after four years at St. Lawrence University from 2004-2008. Hack suited up 138 times for the Saints, scoring 12 goals and adding 14 assists for 26 points in 80 collegiate games. In his senior season at St. Lawrence, Hack scored seven goals and handed out eight assists for 13 points in 35 games played. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder played at St. Lawrence with former Wranglers goalie Mike McKenna (2004-05) and with current Wranglers defenseman Mike Madill (2004-06).
With the addition of Hack and Neiszner, the Wranglers have announced a total of 14 players signed for the 2008-09 season. Defensemen Brandon Straub, Jim Jorgensen, Gerard Miller, Bret Tyler, Jason Dest, Mark Lutz and Mike Madill have all agreed to terms for 2008-09. Forwards Tyler Mosienko, Adam Miller, Matt Beaudoin and Brandon Kaleniecki have also signed. Two-time Central Hockey League Goalie of the Year John Decaro has also agreed to terms for the upcoming season.
The Wranglers will start their training camp with physicals on Thursday, October 2nd. The defending National Conference Champs hit the ice for the first time in 2008-09 on Friday, October 3rd at 9:00 am at the Las Vegas Ice Center. All practices at the Ice Center are open to the public. The team will practice at the Ice Center from October 3rd to Sunday, October 5th before moving to the Orleans Arena starting on Monday, October 6th. All practices at the Orleans Arena are closed to the public.
Las Vegas will play three preseason games starting at home with Bakersfield on Thursday, October 9th at 7:30 pm at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers will then travel to Bakersfield to play the Condors at Rabobank Arena on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 pm. Las Vegas will conclude its preseason schedule with a game in Ontario against the expansion Reign. The Wranglers will meet the Reign at 5:00 pm at the Center Ice Arena in Ontario, CA on Sunday, October 12th.
2008-09 season seat packages are on sale now at (702) 471-PUCK. The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
Opening night is scheduled for Thursday, October 23rd at the Orleans Arena. Individual game tickets are on sale now at (702) 284-7777.
