Las Vegas' Fallon Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J.- Joe Fallon of the Las Vegas Wranglers is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 17-23.

The 25 year old was 2-0-0 with one shutout, a goals-against average of 1.50 and a save percentage of .938 last week as the Wranglers improved their record to a league-best 25-11-3 for 53 points and a five-point lead over Stockton for first place in the Pacific Division.

Fallon opened the week with 20 saves in a 4-0 shutout victory against Alaska on Tuesday and then made 25 saves in a 5-3 win over Bakersfield on ‚¬Ë†Friday.

The Bemidji, Minn. native has appeared in 21 games for the Wranglers this season posting a 13-7-0 record with two shutouts. He ranks fourth in the ECHL with a 2.43 goals-against average and is tied for fourth with a .918 save percentage.

Fallon, who is under contract with ‚¬Ë†San ‚¬Ë†Antonio of the American ‚¬Ë†Hockey League, has appeared in four games with the ‚¬Ë†Rampage this season going 2-1-0 with a 2.36 goals-against average and a save percentage of .900.

A sixth round selection (167th overall) of the Chicago ‚¬Ë†Blackhawks in the 2005 NHL ‚¬Ë†Entry Draft, ‚¬Ë†Fallon has appeared in 56 career ECHL ‚¬Ë†games with ‚¬Ë†Fresno, ‚¬Ë†Gwinnett and Las Vegas going 31-21-3 with four shutouts, a 2.77 goals-against average and a save percentage of .909.

Runners Up: Tyler Beskorowany, Idaho (2-0-1, 1.62 GAA, .949 save pct.) and Bryan Pitton, ‚¬Ë†Stockton (3-0-0, 2.00 GAA, .909 save pct.).
