Glads Acquire Cameron from Elmira

The Gwinnett Gladiators acquired forward Dustin Cameron from the Elmira Jackals and defenseman Matt Krug was recalled to Chicago (AHL) and re-assigned to Elmira.

Cameron, 21, had three goals and four assists for the Jackals in 24 games after he spent five seasons in the Western Hockey League.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native scored 86 goals and added 84 assists in 284 career games in the WHL. He served as the team captain over his last two seasons with the Prince Albert Raiders, and logged two breakout 57 point campaigns. He scored his first professional goal on October 23, 2010 in a 7-2 Jackals win at Reading.

Krug, 25, started his second professional season in Gwinnett after he tallied 47 points (14 g, 33 a) in his rookie season with the Muskegon Lumberjacks (IHL). Krug had three goals and four assists in 39 games with the Gladiators this season.

The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
