Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce the signing of forward Tommy Lange; per club policy the terms of the contract will be undisclosed.
A member of the K-Wings last season, Lange returns to Kalamazoo after starting the season with the Toledo Walleye. Lange produced 8 points (4 goals, 4 assists) in 10 games with the Walleye.
In his rookie campaign in Kalamazoo, Lange had many highlights.
Lange tied a K-Wings' season-high with a plus/minus rating of +5 on 11/23/08 versus Port Huron. The native of St. Louis, Missouri, went on an eight-game point streak from 03/08/09-03/22/09 and a K-Wings' season-high six-game goal streak from 03/13/09-03/22/09. Lange was also a three-time Rookie of the Week and was named to the International Hockey League's All-Rookie Team.
Before turning pro, Lange played two seasons in junior hockey, as he was a member of the 2005-06 St. Louis Jr. Blues club that captured the CSHL National Championship.
Lange is schedule to make his Kalamazoo season debut this afternoon, as the K-Wings battle the Everblades at 4 p.m. Customary to Sunday's games, Wings Stadium will host a skate with the K-Wings following today's contest.
Every Sunday home game also features a Family Four Pack, which includes four hot dogs, four Pepsi and four tickets for only $44.
