Omaha Lancers News Release
Urbandale, IA - The Omaha Lancers traveled to Urbandale Iowa to face the Des Moines Buccaneers Saturday night. The Lancers just came off of a big win against Sioux Falls Friday winning, 4-1. Des Moines also came off a big win heading into Saturday nights game with a win over Chicago on Friday winning, 3-0.
After a scoreless first period, Jack Randl got the Lancers on the board late in the second period. Randl ripped the puck from the left circle to beat goaltender Ryan Snowden.
Des Moines got on the board in the third when Luke Manning beat Christian Sbaraglia on the right side. The Lancers got to work though. Christian O'Neil got his seventh goal of the season Saturday, snapping the puck past Snowden. Then nine seconds later Logan Will got the Lancers another goal. The goals continued when Ethan Price scored his 5th of the season when ripped it home past Snowden to give the Lancers a 4-1 lead. Des Moines rallied back and scored two goals within thirty seconds of each other near the end of the period to bring the score to 3-4. Des Moines pulled Snowden and Jack Randl capitalized giving him his second goal of the night and giving the Lancers the win, 5-3. Christian Sbaraglia stopped 29 of the 32 shots he faced.
