Kearney, NE - John Wojciechowski scored his first USHL goal and William Fallstrom recorded his third goal in his last two games. However, despite Omaha putting 38 shots on net, it was the Tri-City Storm defeating the Lancers, 6-4, at the Viaero Center on Saturday night.

Two power-play goals off the stick of Wade Allison in the first six minutes of the game helped the Storm take a 2-0 lead. Michael Joyaux took a tripping minor just 1:58 into the game and Tri-City went to their first man advantage of the night. Wade Allison took the puck behind the net of Lancers goaltender Zackarias Skog. Allison moved right out to the front of the crease, untouched, and put the puck under Skog for the 1-0 lead. The goal was Allison's 19th of the year with assists from Dan Labosky and Joseph Matthews.

Just over three minutes later, Allison and the Tri-City Storm power play struck again for a two-goal lead. From the right wing circle, Alex Limoges fired a shot towards the net that deflected off a pair of players and rolled to the right of Zackarias Skog in net. Allison sat at the bottom of the left wing circle and one-timed the puck top shelf for a 2-0 lead and his 20th goal of the season. Assists were given to Limoges on the shot and Dan Labosky.

In the second period Omaha came out flying and tied the game at two goals apiece. Austin Lemieux scored his third of the season from the left wing circle. Nick Jenny hit Michael Bigelbach with a pass at the right point. Bigelbach sent the puck to Lemieux who immediately let a shot go that beat Jake Kielly low to decrease Omaha's deficit to one goal. Lemieux's goal came just 1:38 into the second frame.

Minutes later, the Lancers quickly tied the game at two. Jacob Bryson fired a shot from inside the blue line that was stopped by Jake Kielly. The puck though slid to Kielly's left side and William Fallstrom scooped up the loose puck to score his fourth goal of the season and third goal in his last two games. Assists on Fallstrom's tally were given to Bryson on the original shot and Matt Meier at 6:55 of the second period.

Tri-City relied on Dan Labosky to get their lead back. At a tough angle in the left wing circle, Labosky sent a wrist shot over the right shoulder of Zackarias Skog to give the Storm a 3-2 lead 9:43 into the second period. The goal was Labosky's 7th of the season.

In the back-and-forth period, Omaha quickly tied the game. John Wojciechowski took a rebound and wristed it by a diving Jake Kielly for his first-career USHL goal at 11:01 of the period. The goal by Wojciechowski evened up the score, 3-3. Michael Bigelbach recorded his eighth assist on the year and William Fallstrom picked up his eighth helper and tenth point overall.

The Storm scored late in the second period and early to start the third period. Alex Limoges scored his ninth goal of the season with only 57 seconds left in the second period to give Tri-City a 5-4 lead after two periods. To start the third period, Omaha entered Kris Oldham between the pipes to replace Zackarias Skog. Just 26 seconds into the third, Carson Meyer tallied his 25th of the year for a 6-4 lead just like that.

With the Lancers down by a pair of goals, Brian Williams, Austin Lemieux, and Jacob Bryson combined to pull Omaha back. Lemieux sent a pass to a trailing Bryson from the bottom of the right wing circle. Bryson played the puck through a lot of traffic in front of the net and beat Jake Kielly for his third goal of the year. Omaha now trailed the Storm, 5-4, at 7:24 of the third period. Brian Williams collected the secondary assist on Bryson's goal.

The Storm capped off their night with another power-play goal thanks to Nico Sturm. His strike came at 12:06 of the third period and had assists from Carson Meyer and Brandon Duhaime for a 6-4 lead and that held up as final.

The Lancers are back on the road for three games in three days next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday and Saturday the Lancers visit Muskegon 6:15 p.m. CT. The following day, Omaha travels to Plymouth, MI to battle the U17's at 1:00 p.m. CT.
