Sunday, May 17th promises to be a very special day at Clipper Magazine Stadium as the EMS Community kicks off EMS Week across America with a special celebration before and during the Lancaster Barnstormers' game with the Long Island Ducks.
Fans will be greeted by an impressive array of Emergency Vehicles upon entering the Stadium such as the Armored Bearcat Vehicle from Lancaster County Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), Ambulances and Fire Vehicles. There will be various displays throughout the concourse such as a CHIP ID program, the Lancaster 911 System and the CPR Station - where 50 mannequins will be awarded to families who complete a CPR exercise. Additionally, a flyover by the Penn State Hershey Medical Center LifeLion will add to the festivities.
"The Barnstormers are proud to help LG Health honor these extraordinary men and women who give so much to the Lancaster County Community," said Barnstormers' Vice President, Tony DeMarco. "LG Health is proud to honor our EMS Community by treating them to a game and a picnic at the stadium. We look forward to sharing and teaching Barnstormers fans about our work and how to keep our residents safe and healthy," noted Mike Reihart, Associate Medical Director for EMS at Lancaster General Hospital.
