Lake Elsinore Snaps Rawhide 11-Game Winning Streak with 4-1 Win

VISALIA, CA - The Lake Elsinore Storm (30-37) snapped the Visalia Rawhide (45-22) 11-game winning streak on Thursday night with a 4-1 victory at Recreation Ballpark.

A scoreless ballgame into the top of the fourth inning saw RF Franmil Reyes knock in two with a double to break open the scoreless game and give Lake Elsinore a 2-0 lead.

The Rawhide, against RHP Enyel De Los Santos (1-1, 6.30), scratched across a run in the bottom of the fifth on back-to-back doubles from C Oscar Hernandez and LF Victor Reyes to cut the lead in half at 2-1 Storm.

LHP Josh Taylor (2-6, 5.14) made the start for Visalia and ended up giving up another two runs in the sixth inning on a CF Franchy Cordero RBI single and then a 1B Luis Tejeda RBI single to put Lake Elsinore out in front 4-1.

Taylor lasted six innings and allowed nine hits and four runs (all earned) on one walk and he struck out five in the loss.

For De Los Santos, his only Blemish was the Reyes RBI double in fifth inning and he lasted 5.1 innings and gave up six hits and one run (earned).He walked three and struck out seven in the win for Lake Elsinore.

RHP Cory Blueberger (SV 10) came in and faced four men in the ninth to record his tenth save of the season.  

The combination of RHP Miller Diaz, LHP Will Locante and RHP Jincy Solis pitched the final three innings for Visalia and did not allow a run to Lake Elsinore in the loss.

The Rawhide continue the series tomorrow night from Rawhide Ballpark against Lake Elsinore and making the start will be RHP Ethan Elias (4-3, 5.25) for Visalia against RHP Walker Lockett (1-3, 3.06) for Lake Elsinore.
