Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, are pleased to announce that the games on June 19 and 20 versus the South Bend Silver Hawks have been designated as Peanut Free.
No peanuts will be served on either of the nights and the Captains, in partnership with Cintas, will clean and sanitize Classic Park to remove all peanut residues from the seating bowl, concessions areas and suite level.
The Captains will not have a game at Classic Park from June 10 until the game on June 19 to give adequate time to prepare the ballpark.
According to PeanutAllergy.com, more than three million people in the United States are allergic to peanuts, tree nuts or both. Peanut Allergy is the most common cause of food related death.
"We are very excited to open Classic Park to both children and adults who would not ordinarily be able to attend games due to their peanut allergy," explained Captains Vice President and General Manger Brad Seymour. "The response from allergy groups has been great to see and we can't wait to welcome them for a couple of nights at the ballpark, including on one of our great fireworks shows".
Cintas Regional Deep Clean Specialist, Brittney Seitz said, "Cintas provides Deep Clean and Restroom Sanitation services to help enhance the image and cleanliness of our customers' facilities. We're honored to partner with the Lake County Captains to deliver a game day experience to those that cannot typically attend events at the ball park."
Individual game tickets for these and all games are on sale at the Classic Park box office, online at captainsbaseball.com and by phone at 440-954-WINS (9467). Full season tickets plans, 7-, 12-, 20-, and 35-game mini ticket plans for the 2014 season are on sale now at great prices complete with several exclusive benefits.
