LAFC to Host St. Louis City SC Wednesday, July 12 at BMO Stadium

Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) returns home to face St. Louis CITY SC on Wednesday, July 12. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT at BMO Stadium and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and 710 AM ESPN LA and 980 AM La Mera Mera (ESP).

Wednesday's contest will feature the first-ever meeting between LAFC and St. Louis CITY. St. Louis will be the sixth expansion club LAFC has faced since 2019, the Black & Gold are undefeated in their first-ever meetings against expansion teams.

Three days later, the Black & Gold travel to Allianz Field in St. Paul, MN to face Minnesota United. Kickoff is set for 5:30 PM PT and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and 710 AM ESPN LA and 980 AM La Mera Mera (ESP).

NEWS & NOTES

LAFC currently sits in third place in the Western Conference with 33 points and a 9-6-6 (W-L-T) record.

LAFC is undefeated in their first-ever meeting against an expansion team since 2019, defeating all five newcomers:

FC Cincinnati: 2-0 (2019)

Inter Miami: 1-0 (2020)

Austin FC: 2-0 (2021)

Nashville SC: 2-1 (2021)

Charlotte FC: 5-0 (2022)

Only Austin FC and Nashville SC have defeated LAFC following their expansion, and Nashville is the only team to beat LAFC within its respective inaugural season in 2022.

Jose Cifuentes registered his 100th MLS regular season appearance vs. San Jose on Saturday, July 8. Overall, Cifuentes has 119 appearances for LAFC across all competitions.

Ilie Sánchez is two appearances from reaching 200 MLS regular season appearances.
