August 26, 2020 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) will be taking on Western Conference foe Real Salt Lake tonight, August 26, at 6:30 p.m. PT at Rio Tinto Stadium. The Club's first away match of the 2020 regular season will be broadcast live on YouTube TV and Estrella TV, and on radio on ESPN LA 710AM, the ESPN App and KFWB 980 AM.
In four regular season matchups between the two clubs, LAFC has dominated the regular season series against RSL, winning all four games with a combined +8 goal differential.
The Black & Gold opened the 25th MLS season with a 1-0 win over expansion side Inter Miami CF and a 3-3 draw against the Philadelphia Union before the season was suspended on March 12 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the MLS is Back Tournament, the Black & Gold were eliminated by Orlando City SC in the Quarterfinals by way of penalties, but not before picking up five regular season points in the group stage with draws against Houston Dynamo and Portland Timbers, and a win over the Galaxy. Last week, the Club suffered its first regular season loss of the year against the Galaxy, and currently sits in fifth place in the Western Conference with 9 points.
