LAFC Partners with Clear to Provide Free Co-Branded Masks to All Banc of Califorina Stadium Guests
July 23, 2020 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and CLEAR, the Club's Official Safety Partner, have teamed up to provide complimentary co-branded face masks and hand sanitizer packets to all future guests, supporters and staff entering Banc of California Stadium. Through the partnership, LAFC becomes the first professional sports team to provide free disposable branded face-coverings in a stadium-wide setting.
"We are proud to partner with CLEAR to provide safe, stylish, Black & Gold face masks and care kits to fans, supporters and staff at Banc of California Stadium," LAFC EVP/Chief Business Officer, Larry Freedman said. "The safety, security and comfort of our guests is our top priority. We look forward to creating a team spirit in our colors when fans safely gather together again in the Heart of Los Angeles."
With the help of Los Angeles based Co.Protect, LAFC will produce and distribute over 100,000 3-ply, co-branded face masks and hand sanitizer gel packs at all future LAFC home matches. Co.Protect serves as the current supplier of branded masks for all MLS clubs and league personnel during the 'MLS is Back' Tournament in Orlando, FL.
"At CLEAR, safety and security are in our DNA, and we are excited to work with LAFC and provide fans with the protection they need so they can safely return," said Caryn Seidman-Becker CEO of CLEAR. "Along with our touchless biometric ticketing, LAFC and CLEAR are creating a safer and easier future fan experience."
Every match attendee will receive a Black & Gold 'fan pack' (pictured below) which includes one mask and two hand sanitizer packets. The masks and sanitizer packets both feature the LAFC and CLEAR logos and will be available in adult and child sizes. All visiting team supporters will receive the same items but branded with the Major League Soccer (MLS) logo instead.
Additionally, CLEAR will be assisting in the distribution an additional 100,000 masks to LAFC Season Ticket Members, identical to the masks currently being worn by LAFC players during the MLS is Back Tournament. Members can look to receive these masks in early August.
