LAFC Holds Three Selections in Friday's2019 MLS SuperDraft Presented by adidas

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) has three selections in Friday's 2019 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas, set to take place at McCormick Place West in Chicago this Friday, January 11 at 10 a.m. PT.

LAFC currently holds the 40th, 64th and 73rd overall picks in tomorrow's draft. Earlier this week, the Club acquired FC Cincinnati's natural fourth-round pick (No. 73 overall) and its initial 2020 Allocation Ranking in exchange for LAFC's natural first-round pick (No. 16 overall) and $175,000 in General Allocation Money.

Fans can watch live coverage of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas on, the MLS App, and on MLS social media platforms (YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook) for exclusive first interviews with draft picks, and expert analysis from personalities.

Last year, the Black & Gold selected three players in the Club's first-ever MLS SuperDraft. LAFC picked defenders João Moutinho (1st overall - University of Akron) and Tristan Blackmon (3rd overall - The University of the Pacific) in the first round, and midfielder Pol Calvet Planellas (24th overall - University of Pittsburgh) in the second round.

After setting an MLS record with 57 points in its inaugural season in 2018, LAFC begins training camp for its second campaign on Monday, January 21, and opens the 2019 MLS regular season on March 3 at Banc of California Stadium against Sporting Kansas City (5:00 pm PT - ESPN).
