CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union played LA Galaxy on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park, falling 3-1. With the loss, the Union drop to sixth place in the Eastern Conference with 34 points. Tyler Boyd opened the scoring for LA Galaxy in the 15th minute. Forward Mikael Uhre responded in the 36th minute off a deflected shot by defender Jakob Glesnes to make it 1-1. An own goal in extra time by the Union gave LA the lead going into the half. Riqui Puig extended the lead in the 76th minute to secure the 3-1 win.
The Union will travel to GEODIS Park on Wednesday, July 12th (8:30 p.m. ET / Apple TV), where they will face Nashville SC.
