LOS ANGELES - Continuing their 2023 MLS Regular Season campaign, the LA Galaxy play host to the Philadelphia Union tonight, Saturday, July 8 (7:30 p.m. PT; Free on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).
LA enter tonight's match riding a six-match unbeaten run in league play (2-0-4; 9 GF, 7 GA) dating back to May 31, following a 2-1 win over LAFC before a new MLS single-match standalone attendance record of 82,110 fans at Rose Bowl Stadium on July 4. Tonight's match between the LA Galaxy and the Philadelphia Union marks the 13th MLS regular-season meeting between the two teams, with LA leading the all-time series 8-1-3 (22 GF, 10 GA). In seven home matches played against the Union, the Galaxy hold a record of 5-1-1 (16 GF, 5 GA). In the LA's last seven matches played against Philadelphia dating back to May 15, 2013, the Galaxy hold an unbeaten record of 5-0-2 (20 GF, 6 GA). The last time the two teams squared off against one another, the Galaxy earned a 2-0 win over the Union at Dignity Health Sports Park, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic recording a brace in the win over Philadelphia on April 13, 2019.
During the six-match unbeaten run in league play dating back to May 31, Douglas Costa is tied for an MLS-high five assists with Orlando City's Ivan Angulo, while Riqui Puig has tallied one goal and four assists during that stretch. During that same stretch of matches played dating back to May 31, Tyler Boyd and Preston Judd have both recorded two goals and one assist for the Galaxy. In the Galaxy's last five matches played at home across all competitions dating back to May 10, LA holds a 3-1-1 record (9 GF, 6 GA).
