July 11, 2005 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Clinton LumberKings News Release
@ Clinton 2, West Michigan 0
Clinton starter John Bannister (5-8; 4.80), desperately in need of a solid outing after posting an 8.46 ERA in June, turned in a beauty, holding the Whitecaps scoreless on five hits and two walks while fanning eight in seven innings.
Jim Fasano (.276 / .332 / .404) went 2-3 with a double and a homer, his fifth of the year, and Brandon Boggs (.281 / .376 / .488) went 2-4 as the LumberKings improved to 9-9, three games out of the MWL West division lead.
Clinton heads to Cedar Rapids for a three game set before returning to Alliant Energy Field for a four game series against Burlington beginning on July 16th.
