Wednesday Recap

Clinton 10 @ Quad Cities 7 (10 Innings)

The LumberKings scored one in the ninth to tie it and got a two run homer from Emerson Frostad to key a three run tenth that gave Clinton a comeback victory over the Swing in the Quad Cities.

Frostad's homer, his twelfth of the year, capped a 3-5 night that included a base on balls for the third baseman. Catcher Craig Hurba (.311 / .358 / .446) belted his second homer of the year in a 4-6 outing to drive in three runs and Billy Susdorf (.270 / .295 / .428) went 3-6 with a double to drive in two.

Starter Kyle Rogers (6.36) delivered a quality start, holding the Swing to three runs on four hits and three walks in six innings before giving way to Kevin Altman who struggled in the seventh, allowing four runs in the seventh before he could record an out.

Johnny Lujan (3-3; 3.74) regained control of the situation and carried Clinton through the final four frames, shutting out Quad Cities on one hit and two walks while fanning three.

Left fielder Brandon Boggs (.282 / .385 / .485) went 2-3, drawing three walks and stealing his ninth bag of the year while Jim Fasano went 2-4 with a triple and a walk.
