Kyle Hagel Loaned To Rochester

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Kyle Hagel has been loaned to the Rochester Americans of the AHL. In a separate transaction, forward Brock Hooton has been returned to the Royals from the Albany River Rats of the AHL.

This marks the first career call-up to the AHL for Hagel, a first year pro who leads the ECHL with 25 major penalties. In 38 total games with the Fresno Falcons and Royals this year, Hagel has scored seven goals, assisted on six others (thirteen points), and picked up 143 penalty minutes. Hooton, who was loaned to the River Rats on Saturday, registered three shots in Albany's 3-2 overtime win against the Portland Pirates yesterday.

The Royals season long seven game road trip continues Friday night (February 13 @ 7:05 pm et) when the team travels to Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to face the Johnstown Chiefs. Friday's game will be broadcast live on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast (True Oldies WRAW 1340 am in Reading; and The Ticket WLAN 1390 am in Lancaster), as well as on the internet via webcast hosted by Sportsjuice.com, which can be accessed through the Royals website.
