San Antonio Missions News Release
San Antonio - Infielder Kyle Blanks has been added to the Missions active roster effective today. Blanks had spent the previous 20 days in San Antonio on a rehab assignment with the Padres. Prior to today, Blanks was on San Diego's disabled list and did not occupy a roster spot.
Entering tonight Blanks is hitting .256 (11-for-43) with three doubles, one triple, three RBI and 10 runs scored.
To make room for Blanks on the roster, the Missions have place right-handed pitcher Eddie Kunz on the disabled list with a left ankle sprain.
San Antonio, winners of four straight, has the best record in the Texas League at 12-6. The Missions have two more games with the Frisco RoughRiders before hosting the Midland RockHounds for four games from April 29-May 2.
