SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (Aug. 20, 2012) - Eri Yoshida, the 20-year-old female Japanese "Knuckle Princess" is scheduled to start against the Pacifics at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday night at Albert Park as Na Koa Ikiaka Maui faces the first-place San Rafael Pacifics.

San Rafael will counter with its own knuckleball hurler - San Rafael High grad Steve Detwiler.

The Pacifics faced Yoshida on July 6, beating Maui 7-3. Detwiler has pitched in two games this year. He took the loss in his only start of the year, falling to the Sonoma County Grapes on Aug. 12 in San Rafael.

In 2010, when Yoshida was pitching for the Chico Outlaws - and then team manager Mike Marshall - the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum collected the game jersey and bat she used to become the first woman in more than 50 years to collect a hit in a men's professional league.
