Knox is stellar in River Cats 1-0 win vs. Tucson on Tuesday

West Sacramento, Calif. - Right-handed starter Brad Knox threw 7.0 stellar innings as the Sacramento River Cats shut out the Tucson Sidewinders 1-0 on Tuesday night at Raley Field. Knox allowed just five baserunners and struck out five batters. Troy Cate earned the River Cats' first save of the year in 2.0 innings. Shortstop Gregorio Petit drove in the game's only run with an RBI single in the fifth inning to score designated hitter Wes Bankston, who doubled to leadoff the inning. The River Cats have now won two consecutive games at home and are 6-6 early in the season. Tucson drops to 2-11 on the season. The two teams play the second game of a four-game series on Wednesday at 11:35 a.m. at Raley Field.
