Beavers Announce Roster Moves

PORTLAND, Ore. - The San Diego Padres today recalled right-handed pitcher Kevin Cameron and outrighted right-handed pitcher Enrique Gonzalez to Portland. Additionally, the Beavers placed right-handed pitcher Mike Adams on the disabled list (retroactive to April 13) with a right shoulder strain and announced that left-handed pitcher Mike Megrew has been transferred to Portland from extended spring training.

Cameron, 28, had no record and a 1.42 ERA (1er, 6.1ip) in four relief appearances with the Beavers. He spent the entire 2007 campaign with San Diego, posting a 2-0 record and a 2.79 ERA in 48 relief appearances with the major league club.

Gonzalez, 25, made four relief appearances with San Diego to start the year, going 1-0 with a 10.80 ERA (4er, 3.1ip) and one strikeout. The right-hander was claimed off waivers from the Washington Nationals on Feb. 5, 2008.

Adams, 29, has appeared in four games with the Beavers this season, going 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA (3er, 6.0ip) and six strikeouts out of the bullpen.

Megrew, 24, spent his first six professional seasons in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization after being selected by the club in the fifth round of the 2002 draft. The left-hander signed with the Padres as a minor league free agent on Jan. 3, 2008.

The Beavers' active roster is currently at 23 players.
