
Zephyrs squeak by Cubs, 2-1

The New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the visiting Iowa Cubs on Tuesday by a score of 2-1.
Starting pitcher Ruddy Lugo (2-0) gets the win after allowing one run on four hits in seven innings of play. Reliever Nate Field picked up his third save of the season after no-hitting the I-Cubs in the final inning.
The Zephyrs offensive success was spread around, as a different player recorded all of the Zephyrs five hits. Shortstop Anderson Hernandez and left fielder Chris Aguila both drove in runs as well.
Iowa starting pitcher Mike Burns (0-2) got the loss after giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits in five innings of play.
The teams will face off again on Wednesday in Game 2 of their four-game series in New Orleans. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM CT.
