
Knights Return Home Sunday for Final Two Regular Season Games

(Fort Mill, SC) - The first place Charlotte Knights return home to Knights Stadium on Sunday, September 2 for the final two home games of the 2012 regular season. Both games feature a special Military Appreciation theme and Knights players will wear special camouflage jerseys during each game.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and the Knights will welcome the Durham Bulls to town for a special 7:15 p.m. game.
The first 1,000 fans on Sunday and Monday will receive an American Flag, courtesy of Conder Flag Company. Also, as part of Operation Sanitation, the Knights will be collecting shaving cream, deodorant, and toothbrushes, which will be donated to the USO. The entire Military series is presented by OrthoCarolina, Conder Flag Company, and Uncle Bob's Self Storage.
Sunday's game is also the annual Fan Appreciation Day at the Ballpark. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free team photo, and the following prizes will be given away throughout the evening:
- Two tickets to Carrie Underwood concert in Charlotte
- Two tickets to two Fall Classic games, including airfare and accommodations
- Roundtrip Amtrak tickets
- $500 Diamonds Direct Gift Certificate
- Kingsford Grill
- Tickets to the American Presidential Experience
After Sunday's game, the Knights will light up the sky with the last fireworks show of the regular season, courtesy of Time Warner Cable, 1110 WBT and Carolina Weekly.
On Monday, September 3, the Knights will conclude the regular season with a special 2:15 p.m. game on Labor Day. Knights players will once again wear camouflage jerseys as the club pays tribute to the Military throughout the day. Gates open at 1:00 p.m.
The Charlotte Knights are the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
