FORT MILL, S.C. --The Buffalo Bisons' pitching staff out dueled the Charlotte Knights pitching staff in a 2-1 Knights' loss Monday afternoon at Knights Stadium. Bisons' pitchers gave up one run on just six hits, while Knights' pitchers allowed two on only five.
In his second start for the Knights since joining the rotation, right hander Felix Diaz turned in another solid performance giving up just four hits for two runs with one walk and four strikeouts in 5.2 IP. In his first start on May 11 against Ottawa, he allowed just one run on four hits in five innings.

Second baseman Jake Gautreau scored the first run of the game with his solo homer dropped right behind the right field wall. Buffalo's designated hitter Mike Kinkade blasted another to left to make it 2-0 Buffalo in the fourth.
Charlotte's only run came in the bottom of the fourth as designated hitter Roosevelt Brown (single) crossed the plate on a bases-loaded fielder's choice from catcher Jamie Burke.
The Knights bullpen of Josh Fields, Dave Sanders and Jeff Bajenaru allowed no runs on just one hit over the last four innings. Fields allowed the lone hit -a single, while Sanders retired all five of his batters, and Bajenaru sat down both of his on strikes.
