INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Right-hander Bryan Bullington worked six innings for his first Triple-A win and 1B Brad Eldred belted two home runs as Indianapolis knocked off Norfolk, 7-3, Monday afternoon at Victory Field. The Indians win their third straight series, finish the homestand 6-2 and improve to 23-14 with the victory. The Tides fall to 21-18 with the loss.

Bullington (6.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO) threw 85 pitches on the afternoon to improve to 1-1 on the season.

The Indians got on the board in the bottom of the first when LF Nate McLouth lifted a sacrifice fly to plate CF Chris Duffy, who led off the inning with a double down the line-field line.

Norfolk battled back in the top of the second with a two-run roundtripper off the bat of 3B Rodney Nye.

Indianapolis responded quickly with three runs in the bottom of the second. The first two came when Eldred smashed an opposite-field dinger after catcher Ryan Doumit singled to left field. The Tribe pushed across another run when SS Jorge Velandia lifted a sacrifice fly to score 3B Yurendell de Caster.

The Indians added a pair of scores in the bottom of the third when Eldred and RF Graham Koonce cracked solo home runs.

Norfolk trimmed the deficit in the fourth when 1B Brian Daubach and LF Craig Brazell ripped back-to-back doubles, but Duffy clocked an RBI single in the Tribe's next at-bat to push the lead back to four.

Eldred (3-for-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI), Duffy (3-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI) and Koonce (2-for-4, 1 HR) all notched multiple-hit games. Eldred's roundtrippers were his second and third since arriving in Indianapolis on May 3, while they were also his 15th and 16th overall.

Indianapolis moves on to a 12-game road trip, which will include stops in Pawtucket (R.I.), Durham (N.C.) and Charlotte (N.C.). The Indians will square off with the PawSox in the road trip opener Tuesday night at 6:05 p.m. The contest will be carried by ESPN-950 AM as Howard Kellman and Robert Portnoy have the call.
