(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - Oswaldo Arcia homered, Jose Berrios tossed seven shutout innings, and the Rochester Red Wings evened up the three-game series with a 3-0 win over the Charlotte Knights on Saturday in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,427 fans at BB&T Ballpark.

Berrios (3-1, 3.02), who is ranked by Baseball America as the third best prospect in Minnesota's system, struck-out nine batters over his seven scoreless innings en route to his third win of the season with the Red Wings. A former first round pick of the Twins in the 2012 draft, Berrios walked one batter and allowed five hits. Overall, Saturday's win was his 11th of the season (combined with his eight wins from Double-A Chattanooga).

Arcia put the Red Wings on the scoreboard in the top of the second inning with a two-run home run off Charlotte starter Erik Johnson (8-8, 2.58). The home run was the 10th of the season for Arcia. The game remained in Rochester's favor and the team added to their 2-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning. James Beresford singled home Byron Buxton, Minnesota's number one ranked prospect according to Baseball America, to make it a 3-0 lead at that point. That was all the Red Wings needed on Saturday.

Buxton finished Saturday's game 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored. He recorded three hits in the opener on Friday in the first game of his major league rehab assignment from Minnesota.

Johnson was saddled with the loss after he allowed three runs on five hits over 6.2 innings pitched on Saturday. The 2015 International League All-Star walked three batters and struck-out five. Charlotte first baseman Dayan Viciedo extended his hit-streak to 10 games with a double in the second inning. Viciedo, along with newcomer John Mayberry Jr., had two hits apiece in the 3-0 loss.

The two teams will conclude their three-game series with a 5:05 p.m. game on Sunbelt Family Sunday, presented by Sunbelt Rentals. The Knights will hand the ball to RHP Hector Noesi (1-1, 2.67) against Rochester RHP Michael Bowden (7-3, 2.33). Gates open at 4:00 p.m. and the Knights will honor the Military with a special Military Appreciation Game. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Military Heroes Card Set and Charlotte Knights players will wear Military jerseys. After the game, kids can "Run the Bases", courtesy of Academy Sports & Outdoors.
