Bats Take Game Two at Durham, 3-1

DURHAM, N.C.- The Louisville Bats (58-58) picked up a 3-1 win on Saturday night against the Durham Bulls (55-59) to even the three-game series.

Durham struck first in the bottom of the second after they picked up three singles and plated one runner to get a 1-0 lead.

The Bats were able to even the score in the top of the fifth after Chris Dominguez hit a solo home run to right field. This is his eighth of the season.

Louisville picked up two more runs in the seventh inning. Juan Silva and Dominguez hit back-to-back singles before a sacrifice fly by Kristopher Negron scored Silva and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Chris Berset scored Dominguez.

Offensively for the Bats, Dominguez led the way going 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Ryan LaMarre went 2-for-4 on the night.

John Lamb (W,1-1, 2.65) picked up the win for Louisville. Lamb pitched six innings. He gave up four hits, one run, and one walk while striking out six. Collin Balester (S, 6, 2.67) picked up the save for the Bats.

Enny Romero (L, 1-1, 4.70) suffered the loss for Durham.

The Bats will play the finale of the three-game series and the final game of their seven game road-trip on Sunday at 5:05 PM. Expected to pitch for the Bats is lefty Brandon Finnegan (0-0, 3.38). On the mound for the Bulls will be Blake Snell (1-2, 1.93). This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
