The PawSox lost a second straight 2-1 decision in Charlotte on Friday night. The victory clinched the Southern Division for the Knights. Pawtucket has managed just two runs on nine hits in the first two games of the series. The PawSox (71-63) now trail Lehigh Valley by a half game in the hunt for the Wild Card playoff berth.
Knuckleballer, Steven Wright returned from the DL and got the start for the PawSox. Wright took the loss, working 4 innings and only giving up one earned run. Dan Butler doubled in the lone Pawtucket run. He has the only PawSox RBIs in the series.
The series continues on Saturday night at 7:15 p.m. Billy Buckner (6-6) faces Scott Carroll (3-5).
