Toledo Mud Hens Promotions for August 25-30 and September 2 & 3

Saturday, August 25 (Louisville, 1st pitch at 7 p.m. - Gates open at 5:30 p.m.) - The Mud Hens open a four-game series with the Louisville Bats, Triple A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.)

- Help the Hens kick off the Navy Week Toledo Celebration weekend at Fifth Third Field, presented by the Blade! Over 400 sailors will be in town and you can expect to see them participating in all kinds of events throughout the weekend celebration. Naval ships will be docked in the Maumee River in the Maritime Plaza and International Park throughout the week of August 23- 26. We are kicking off tonight's game with a performance from the Navy Band Great Lakes. Their music represents professionalism and pride that is synonymous with the United States Navy. The band is rocking the house on the Fowl Pole Patio, starting at 5:30 p.m.

- In conjunction with Navy Week Toledo, the Hens will be honoring veterans of the armed forces with our Veteran's Appreciation Night, presented by Stautzenburger College.

- We've gone batty at Fifth Third Field! The Mud Hens are auctioning off game-used equipment on the main concourse during the game. The proceeds will benefit United Way of Greater Toledo.

- Freshen up with limited samples of Pert and Brut products, which will be handed out at the gates following the game.

- Summer is dwindling away and so are your chances of catching the most spectacular fireworks show Toledo has to offer. Be sure to stay in your seats to after the game to catch the illuminating sky presentation.

Sunday, August 26 (Louisville, 1st pitch at 6 p.m. - Gates open at 4:30 p.m.) -The Hens close their series with the Bats.

- The Navy Week Toledo Celebration continues with the Marine Corps Band New Orleans, courtesy of the Blade. Come see the band, which is composed of a ceremonial and concert band, jazz combo, and brass and woodwind quintets, as they march on the field for the national anthem.

- Make sure you get to the game early to meet your favorite Mud Hens player! Two players are signing autographs an hour before the first pitch. The autograph session is located above section 119 and will last for a half hour.

- Have a blast with Iron Man! The superhero will be available near the Swamp Shop throughout the game for photos and autographs.

- With school starting up again, it is the perfect time for haircuts! Bring the entire family out to the game for Great Clips Charity Cuts! Great Clips will be taming manes and mending split ends throughout the game on the main concourse.

- There are not too many chances left for kids to run the bases, so make sure you let them stay up past their bed times for the exhilarating experience!

- Catch the postgame fireworks, presented by Wildwood Environmental Academy.

Tuesday, August 28 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch at 6:30 p.m. - Gates open at 5:30 p.m.) - The Hens open the series with the Indianapolis Indians, Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Wednesday, August 29 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch at 6:30 p.m. - Gates open at 5:30 p.m.) - The Mud Hens take on the Indians for the second game of the series.

Thursday, August 30 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch at 6:30 p.m. - Gates open at 5:30 p.m.) - The Mud Hens and Indians

wrap up the series in Toledo.

- Cowboys, monkeys and sheep dogs...what a mix! It's Team Ghost Riders, led by professional rodeo cowboy Tim "WILD THANG" Lepard. He directs a group of sheep dogs and monkeys who have teamed up to provide one of the most entertaining traveling acts you will ever see.

- BONUS! We have added a fireworks display just in case you did not get enough throughout the summer!

Sunday, September 2 (Columbus, 1st pitch at 6:00 p.m. - Gates open at 4:30 p.m.) - The Mud Hens take on the

Columbus Clippers, Triple A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

- This is your last chance to meet your favorite Mud Hens players during the 2012 season! Two players will be available for autographs an hour before the first pitch. The autograph session is above Section 119.

- Bugs Bunny is going to be hopping his way around Fifth Third Field during the game, courtesy of Buckeye CableSystem.

- Did your children get a chance to run the bases this summer? End your child's summer on a spectacular note by letting them run on the field.

- This is it folks, the last fireworks extravaganza at Fifth Third Field in 2012! Don't miss out on the postgame fireworks, courtesy of Wildwood Environmental Academy.

Monday, September 3 (Columbus, 1st pitch at 1:00 p.m. - Gates open at 11:30 a.m.) - The Mud Hens close out the

season against the Columbus Clippers.

All Mud Hens games can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio, WCWA, and seen live on BCSN. Friday and Saturday television pre-game show on BCSN will begin at 6:00pm. The radio pregame show starts 30 minutes before the scheduled game time.
