
Cub Scout Packs, Marine Corps Members to Serve as Color Guards

ROCHESTER, NY - Cub Scout Pack 724 of Hamlin, Cub Scout Pack 50 of Farmington and members of the United States Marine Corps served as the Ford Color Guard s of the Game at the August 24 Red Wings Military Appreciation Night with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Pack 724 is led by Nate Beabout, Jason Cooper, Don Belluscio, and Mike Roberts. The members consist of Ethan Beabout, Zachary Kirk, Toby Belluscio, Ayden Cooper, Ian Cooper, Sam Crocetta, Austin Haynes, Jay Kramer, Alex Nenni, Connor Roberts . The kids range in age from 6-9 and they attend Barclay Elementary School and Hill School in Brockport .
The pack's favorite aspects of being scouts are participating in all of the fun activities they get to do with their friends like; visiting Camp Cutler, participating in the pinewood derby, and participating in sport events.
Pack 50 is led by Rick Herbst . The members consist of Sawyer Herbst, Austin Kuntz, Calvin Woodhouse, Owen Woodhouse, Payton Danks, Douglas Tavolette, Andrew Tavolette, Nicholas Maclean . The kids range in age from 7-9 and they attend Victor and Macedon Elementary Schools .
The pack's favorite aspects of being scouts are camping at Kampgrounds of America (KOA), participating in sleep overs at the Niagara Falls Aquarium, the Buffalo Naval Yard and Frontier Field!
The pack's favorite Red Wings' are Chris Parmelee and Brian Dinkelman .
United States Marine Corps members; Sergeant Scott Brock, Corporal Kyle Schaeffer, and Lance Corporals Nate Winter and R.J. Makely presented the colors with the scouts. Scott Brock is an Eagle and his skills and time spent as a Boy Scout propelled him to reach his first rank as a member of the United States Marine Corps.
The Marine Corps were excited to have the opportunity to participate in Color Guard and to see the Red Wings sport their Military Appreciation Night jerseys.
