Knights and Chiefs Postponed on Friday

(Syracuse, NY) -- Tonight's Charlotte Knights and Syracuse Chiefs game set for 7:00 p.m. in Syracuse, NY, has been postponed due to cold weather. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday with first pitch of game one scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

The two teams were set to meet from Syracuse for the first time this season on Friday and will now do so on Saturday. Charlie Shirek (3-1, 3.38) gets the nod for the Knights in game one against Syracuse starter Mitch Atkins (1-2, 3.18). The doubleheader will consist of two seven-inning games.

The Knights (11-10) are currently in the midst of a 13-game road trip. The club returns home to Knights Stadium on Monday, May 7 for an eight-game homestand.
