April 27, 2012 - International League (IL1)
Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Buffalo Bisons today announced that fans at Coca-Cola Field can now pay for select concessions with their mobile phones via LevelUp, the pay phone app. Needing only a scan of the phone, this new technology will save fans time and allow them to return to their seats faster to enjoy great Bisons baseball action.
LevelUp, the 2nd largest mobile payment system in the nation, also includes a built-in rewards program providing loyal fans with great savings on the ballpark foods they love.
"For the past 25 seasons, Coca-Cola Field has stood as an industry leader in innovative ways to connect with Bisons fans at every event," said Mike Buczkowski, Bisons Vice President/General Manager . " As the first baseball stadium in the nation to implement mobile payments via LevelU p, we're excited to offer this unique and groundbreaking service to our customers."
To use LevelUp, game attendees simply download the free app to their smartphone and link their credit or debit card in seconds.. LevelUp will automatically generate a unique QR code that users scan to pay at the following locations at Coca-Cola Field:
Section 122 "" Craft Beer stand
Section 110 "" Upstate Farms Ice Cream stand
Section 108 "" Coffee/Beer
Section 104 "" Battistoni Italian stand
Section 102 "" Bigger Burger stand
Section 100 "" The Healthy Zone stand
Section 101 "" Tyson Chicken Wing stand
Section 103 "" Charlie the Butcher's Beef on Weck stand

The first 200 people to pay with LevelUp at Coca-Cola Field will save $3 towards their hot dogs, beer and other fare - and all new users thereafter will save $2 the first time they pay with their phones using LevelUp. Each time a spectator returns to the field and pays with LevelUp, they'll earn credit towards future purchases. Receipts are sent automatically via e-mail and detail how much was spent - and how much was saved.
