IronPigs Game Notes

April 27, 2012 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The IronPigs (13-8) play Game Two of a four-game road* series against the Scranton/WB Yankees (9-10) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 6-4 win last night, the Pigs have gone a perfect 3-0 against the Yankees this season and are now technically 9-2 in Allentown. Still, the Pigs have managed just a 3-6 record after starting 10-2 -- the best start for a Phillies Triple-A affiliate since prior to the Scranton/WB Red Barons days (1989-2006)... The Yankees -- New York's top affiliate -- fell to 1-2 all-time as the home team at Coca-Cola Park.* Despite the loss, the Yanks have still won five of their last seven affairs since starting 4-8.

RHP Austin Hyatt (2-1, 2.53) will start for LHV against RHP Dellin Betances (0-2, 8.83) - a rematch of Pigs' 6-5 win on 4/6 vs. SWB.

Tonight is a Friday Night Fireworks game, presented by Ford. First-Pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

WITH A WIN TONIGHT, THE PIGS...:

* Will force at least a split of this 4-G series... The Pigs have dropped back-to-back series for the first time since 8/29/11-8/31/11

* Will have their first-ever 4-game winning streak against SWB... They've taken 3 straight 2 other times (8/30-9/5/10; 5/17-5/20/11).

* Will have back-to-back wins for the first time since ending their season-high, 6-G win streak in 4/11-4/16 (a span of 9 games).
