Knicks Make It Rain from Three, Demolish Charge, 141-100

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, hit a franchise record 24 triples as a team, and ran past the Cleveland Charge, 141-100, Sunday afternoon at Webster Bank Arena.

Every starter hit double figures in points for Westchester (7-8), led by 24 from Brandon Williams (tryout), to go along with 10 assists for the third consecutive contest. Dewan Hernandez (returning rights) came down with his ninth double-double of the season, with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler Hall (returning rights) knocked down a career-high 7-10 triples and finished with 22 points and six assists. Coming off the bench, Jordan Allen (available player pool) caught fire with six threes (6-10) for 18 points. Allen Crabbe (waivers) tied his season-high with 14 points, while Aamir Simms (Affiliate) had 13 points, seven rebounds, and a career-high six assists.

Cleveland (2-12) was led by 40 points from Malik Newman, and 26 from Justin James.

Crabbe got the Knicks going in the opening quarter with 12 quick points on 4-of-5 shooting from three. There were four lead changes in the first, with the home team using a 10-2 spurt toward the end of the period to take a nine-point advantage, 33-24, with 1:33 on the clock. The hosts had a 33-29 lead after one.

Westchester took the game's first double-digit lead, 51-41, with 7:05 to go in the second, and continued to control the contest, with a 12-point advantage on six occasions in the period, including a 71-59 lead heading to the locker room.

To start the second half, the Knicks scored 11 unanswered points to open up a comfortable 23-point advantage, 82-59, at the 8:56 mark of the third. The score was 103-83 in favor of the home team after three.

Westchester continued to pour it on in the fourth, outscoring the visitors, 38-17, in the final period. Allen led the way, hitting 5-8 triples in the period. The largest lead of the game was 42, 141-99, with 54.3 seconds remaining. Cleveland hit a free-throw to push the concluding deficit to 41.

The Knicks will host Raptors 905 on Wednesday, February 16, at 7 PM ET, before the All-Star break.
