Kings Recall Forward Nick Shore from Manchester

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward Nick Shore from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 6-1, 194-pound native of Denver, Colo., appeared in three games during his first call-up of the season, registering one point (0-11) and two penalty minutes. He appeared in his first NHL game Jan. 17 vs. ANA and recorded his first NHL point (assist), Jan. 21 at SJS.

Selected in the third-round (82nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Kings, Shore has appeared in 38 games this season with Manchester (AHL), collecting a career-best 42 points (20-2242), a plus-23 rating and 16 penalty minutes. Among league-leaders he currently ranks third in goals, tied for fifth in PPG (7), first in SHG (3), third in points and tied for 11th in assists. In 106 career AHL games, all with Manchester (AHL), he has posted 80 points (34-4680) with a plus-41 rating and 52 penalty minutes.
