West Outslugs East in All-Star Game, 14-12

UTICA, N.Y. - A record of 26 goals was scored as the Western Conference defeated the Eastern Conference 14-12 in the 28 th annual AHL All-Star Game Monday night at Utica Memorial Auditorium.

Oklahoma City Barons goalie Richard Bachman worked the third period in net for the Western Conference, stopping a game-high 19 shots and surrendering four goals, while Barons defenseman Brad Hunt had a shot on goal and forward Andrew Miller notched two assists on the night.

Four different players scored hat tricks, including Milwaukee Admirals forward Brendan Leipsic, Hamilton Bulldogs center Charles Hudon and Rockford IceHogs forward Mark McNeill for the Western Conference, and Binghamton Senators forward Shane Prince for the East.

Utica Comets goalie Jacob Markstrom and Hamilton's Hudon were named the game's most-valuable players.
