Kings Recall Campbell

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled defenseman Andrew Campbell from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 26-year-old has appeared in 68 games for the Monarchs this season, recording 16 points (3-1316), 58 penalty minutes and a plus-17 rating. Campbell is in his first year as the captain of the team.

The 6-foot-4, 206-pound native of Caledonia, Ontario has spent the last six seasons with Manchester. Campbell, who will wear No. 81 with the Kings, has not appeared in an NHL game.

Campbell was selected by the Kings in the third round (74th overall) in the 2008 NHL Draft.

The Monarchs host the Portland Pirates at 3:00 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Saturday, April 5.
