San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage (29-33-3-6) shut out the Lake Erie Monsters (29-31-0-9) 3-0 in front of a crowd of 6,861 at the AT&T Center on Saturday night.

Michael Houser earned the First Star of the Game as he recorded his first AHL shutout, stopping all 26 shots he faced. Connor Brickley and Josh McFadden earned the Second and Third Stars, respectively, as Brickley tallied his first professional goal and McFadden notched his first AHL marker.

After a scoreless first period, the Rampage struck first at the 7:11 mark of the second. John McFarland got a shot off coming around the net and McFadden was in the crease to punch in the rebound to make it 1-0.

Brickley scored his first AHL goal late in the second period on the power play, burying the rebound of a McFarland blast from the point. With the primary assist on the tally, McFarland recorded his second point of the evening and his fourth multi-point game of the season.

The Rampage struck midway through the third period, once again with the man advantage. Mike Mottau sent a cross-ice pass to Greg Rallo, who rifled it past Pickard from the right circle to account for the final 3-0 score.

San Antonio outshot the Monsters 30-26 and finished 2-for-9 on the power play while holding Lake Erie scoreless on seven chances with the man advantage.

The Silver and Black hit the road for their last away game of the season on Friday, the first of a three-in-three series with the Texas Stars. The Rampage will return home Saturday to host the Stars for Military Appreciation Night at the AT&T Center. Individual and season tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com.
